Verizon FiOS TV is offering all its subscribers NFL RedZone for free Sunday (Oct. 4). During the early games, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET, FiOS TV customers will be able to take in NFL RedZone's "freeview" in high definition on channel 835 and in standard definition on channel 335.
NFL RedZone, a new channel produced by NFL Network, takes viewers around the league every Sunday afternoon during the regular season beginning at 1 p.m. ET for live coverage of critical plays when any team is inside its opponent's 20-yard line.
Verizon also offers FiOS TV subscribers* a widget with one stop for easy access to NFL stats and the NFL RedZone channel. Customers who subscribe to the NFL RedZone channel can use a unique feature of Verizon's widget to set on-screen alerts for whenever a team is moving inside its opponent's 20-yard line.
"FiOS TV is the only place to experience the combination of NFL RedZone in HD, a special NFL RedZone alert feature, an exclusive news and stats widget, and stunning picture-and-sound quality that's second only to being on the field," said Terry Denson, vice president of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon. "Subscriber enthusiasm for NFL RedZone is off the charts. The upcoming freeview will give those who haven't yet subscribed a taste of the game-day excitement they've been missing."
