Jason Taylor has agreed to a $1.5 million, one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins, NFL.com reports. Taylor spent his first 11 seasons with the Dolphins before being traded a year ago to the Washington Redskins after a rift occurred with Bill Parcells over his stint on "Dancing With the Stars." Parcells was upset that he chose to be in Hollywood rather than with his teammates during off-season workouts, but the two have since reconciled their differences. The New England Patriots were also interested in the 34-year-old six-time Pro Bowler and former 2006 Defensive Player of the Year, but he ultimately decided to return to South Florida where he resides. "My heart has always been in Miami, and so I'm truly excited to call myself a Dolphin once again," Taylor said in a statement. "I was presented with a number of different opportunities, but in the end the combination of this being the best situation for my family, my love for this community and my tremendous loyalty to a great organization made this an easy decision." The Redskins released Taylor after he turned down a chance to play another season with them for $8.5 million following an injury-marred 2008 year. Taylor also turned down a couple of movie offers because he didn't want to be away from his family. Taylor has been planning a Hollywood career since joining the Dolphins as a rookie in 1997, and he envisions himself in action roles that made Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson a movie star. Taylor is expected to bolster a Dolphins pass rush that was lacking a complement to AFC sack leader Jerry Porter.
