The Atlanta Falcons signed wide receiver Chandler Williams and claimed defensive back Nick Turnbull off waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals. The Indianapolis Colts signed defensive end Curtis Johnson to a three-year contract. The Miami Dolphins waived defensive tackle Steve Fifita and quarterback Matt Baker. The San Diego Chargers signed offensive tackle L.J. Shelton to a two-year contract, announced the retirement of assistant general manager and director of player personnel Buddy Nix, promoted Ed McGuire to assistant general manager, Jimmy Raye to director of player personnel, John Spanos to director of college scouting, Mike Biehl to assistant director of college scouting, Tom McConnaughey to national scout and Chris Hobbs to executive assistant of player personnel and named Randy Mueller senior executive.
